"Secrets Always Surface" should've been the tagline. The other tagline and this trailer just gives away the whole movie.

@annabob1440 The film is at a slow pace but that is why it works and why i love it. If the film was fast paced it would lose it's tension. When you are watching the film you can identify with Michelle Pfeiffer's role as Claire Spencer because of the brilliant close up camera work. I have this film on DVD and i watch it once a month because i love the story and the beautiful house and garden.

I saw this film at my local cinema when it was released in 2000. To see this film at its best it must be viewed on a large screen. My local cinema put in on their largest screen and the atmosphere was unbelievable. I remember the audience being glued to their seats and frozen with fear and holding their breath when Michelle Pfeiffer goes under the water in the bath. When i got home i was frightened to go to sleep. Laugh out loud!
