@abro3000 you got a broken mask or the exhale valve is obstructed you shuld check it.

Help me out: I can not exhale from my M17, I'm not sure what the problem is. Wen I do, the air just goes out the sides of the mask. Hope you can help!

@IloveMIT8923 Yea thats the whole deal with these things, never had to use one before, I know how they work and how to use them but not the effectiveness, I'm making due on a budget right now and as soon as I can I'm upgrading to the israeli civil defense mask, I just got these at a good deal

@IloveMIT8923 As far as I know its fine, It was an american military issued mask so I'm pretty sure they won't have anything in it, also this is not a true nbc mask, yes it will protect agains biological and nerve agents, but it does not protect against radaition, say the same type of radiation you would see with fallout from a nuclear blast.

i would almost guaruntee that your local miltary surplus store has a couple. but if not, google an online surplus store, or try ebay. and ,M15's are cheap. i dont know if i trust them though because they are israely

well first off, Swine flu is not airborne (yet) so you dont have to worry about getting it.
but as to where to get this gas mask, try ebay or a military surplus store.

How is this better then the Czech version? As far as i know the updated version (M10-m) is the same except it has a better drinking apperatus. Please reply if im wrong as im interested.

well i think since its the american version it would be of slightly better quality
