that's not a mutually exclusive thing. Profits are what is left over after all expenses are paid. Rather than have profits left over, what I have heard is the owners have elected to push it all back in to the business. Perhaps I should have said "out of what would otherwise have been the owner's profits"

You know what could have been a good idea...ok maybe I am way out there...but could they have taken that same money and just put more into the IBOs pockets?

Oh, hum I don't know, I guess Amway decided that option just couldn't work for some reason.

At least all these media outlets are now getting this money "out of what would otherwise have been the owner's profits", because the IBOs certainly didn't need it.

I suggest you try to learn about what it is your commenting on. They have indeed dramatically increased IBO bonuses as well, with a focus on rewarding the building strong, stable businesses that will last.

The owners of the company took money out of there own pockets to pay for all this advertising. It is not coming out of Quixtar / Amway Global's profits.

Also, are you going to qualify for this 250k bonus? If not, doesn't it seem a little more intelligent to hold your big jump for joy until they actually give you a bonus that you will pocket.....oh wait, your bonus went to the Wall Street Journal ads...hum

Well, if the IBOs don't need the ads then my point still stands...why don't they just send the money to the IBOs rather than Wall Street Journal, Sport Illustrated, Money, Forbes, etc.

They are dumping millions in Amway profit into these ads...why don't they just give that money to the IBOs that actually buy their products.

insider201283 is right. They have changed one of the bonuses from a $23,000 yearly bonus to a $250,000 yearly bonus. That is huge, and its purpose is to incentive new IBOs. Give them one more reason to keep going :)

Also, the IBOs don't need it. However we profit anyways. These commercials have driven a lot more traffic to us. They've made everyone more successful!

Hum, before the Amway business put typical ad money into the pockets of IBOs but now I guess they are paying for TV ads.
