One cannot help but draw comparisons between these animatics and the forbidden love portrayed in the faux-trailer for "Satan's Alley" attached to "Tropic Thunder," which also features Downey Jr. and Maguire. This footage was, in fact, one of Stiller's many inspirations for that footage.
