Employers don't care about the online courses though.

It's not realistic to think you can get very far without some post secondary education. Maybe you did, but that's not the norm. Showing all the drunk kids at uni doesn't mean the courses are like that too. They just didn't care and won't get much out of their degree. Their fault, not the university's.

Also, modern education doesn't involve a lot of learning. It involves memorizing and then tossing that shit out of your brain as soon as you can. They don't teach theory or help you LEARN anything. They're just pushing or pulling your ass across the finish line instead of teaching you how to run it yourself.  Because, let's face it, a lot of people out there probably can't learn the shit you do in higher education. For good reason. It's mostly boring as shit and highly specialized/useless.

College degrees are needed for basically one type of profession. The type of profession that needs advanced training. Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, ect. If you want to be a manager anywhere then there's no real point unless the stupid company you want to work fro requires it (for some asinine reason). I've heard an argument that says, "Well if you have a degree I know that you can do something for 4 years." I would rather show off my 4 years worth of WoW characters. That was harder to get.

@salimian If you think that university will teach you something that will be useful for your future job then go. If you don't know what you want to do for a living - don't start studies. You'll only waste time (and money if you are in US).

This vid is the one in a hundred of her's though I can actually agree on.

She doesn't understand the situation of the world today was the intended consequence all along.

The big(est) boys allow a problem to fester (through lax industry regulation etc.) and plant their protocols (Their solution) into the minds of the young.. pawning it off as the 'nature of man' in general.

I like the advice at the end, I recommend not going to college too, there is a way to become successful without a degree, didn't you get enough bullshit from high school without the debt?
