A video tape of a television hijack that took place last year during a Channel 4 broadcast of 'Man to Man with Dean Learner'. The signal was hijack and a series of bizarre images was shown before normal transmission was resumed. It was similar to the Max Headroom and Midnight Cowboy hijacks of the late '80s

Fake. The signal would typically show distortion and lack of sync before a highjacked signal could overpower another signal, not to mention TV network broadcast transmissions are now encoded so if an unencrypted transmission overpowers the main uplink then it'll just jump to a secondary channel automatically.

Really gutted that this is faked. Still, hopefully it may inspire a budding signal intruder into mischief and make television an interesting experience again.

I'll give it 5 Stars because this is how I'd like my hijack viewing to look. Weird, sinister and creepy.

There are lots of those presumed hijack videos on youtube. As i can see, the only one that really happened is the famous Max Headroom pirate hijack. So, pirate intrusions in tv broadcasting are very rare...
