@TeenaPoshy Metis status is not recognized by ANY federal gov jobs - it does not exist. It's actually called Indian Status. And no, the 40% of québécois who have native ancestors (also like myself) are not using the Indian Status as they are not recognized for being indian. @DoubleDoubleEveryday I live in Quebec, And I do find Quebecois often to be selfish and cruel (racist) To tell you the truth I have looked into history. Expo 67, the constructions of the bridges, high rises, work on the train tracks and lots of the companies, where created by the natives, English community, and other Europeans. Quebecois 3/4 of them put themselves on welfare. And now that everything is all beautiful, the Quebecois want to take over with their referendum. Truly unfair.

@DoubleDoubleEveryday Glad to hear "WE" when you speak, French people of Quebec, had the same treatment as the Natives did. Many were sent to sanatariums and asiles to torture them with grugs, electro-chocs, rapes and so forth. Natives had it real bad along side the French by the Time of duplesis among others. French in quebec werent allowed to speak their own language in public before the 1950s ! that would be like my grand-mothers time, Now French fought for freedom yurs as well .my understand
