  • Rating for jibbigo not the video. Japanese version is extremely slow; makes it useless for real-world application. Fails to recognize even slow and clear speach. You can type your phrase rather than argue with the voice recognition. But even with typing the phrase, jibbigo's translations are mostly gibberish. Save your money and use google translate or other free translators. Jibbigo is a jip.

  • @bdonnach - sounds like you may be having trouble with speech recognition. Please email me at info@jibbigo.com so I can help you sort that out.

  • My software doesn't have the record button on the Spanish side there seems to be no way to get help with this problem without paying extra even though the program cost 25 dollars. Turning back translation on or off does not help. Very disapoonted. In addition it's so slow that even if it worked it would be close to useless. I want more than my 25 dollars back I want to bill you for all the time I lost trying to make this pos work at all.

  • @zipfizzdave What device are you using? Sounds like you may have an iPod Touch 1st or second generation - not recommended for Jibbigo. Please email me at info@jibbigo.com for more information.

  • I love Jibbigo on my 3gs and I wonder how it will be like on the iphone 4!

  • @CandysAllMediaReview - Thanks for commenting! Jibbigo on the iPhone 4 is even faster than on previous devices. It works great!

  • It is workable but not effective: interface is clumsy, translation is too slow (esp on 16GB SD card), can't switch task when using. But it seems to be the only best option available (offline one) now. I bet the lady in the video Do Know "Which Sentences or Words can be easily detected and translated" so she demonstrated it. In fact, if you use Complicated Words, it is slow. [ come on, Simple conversation, sometimes also need to use such words... :( ] Jibbigo please improve and update...

  • Hey it is Dax from oak ridge it works great

  • Channel one!!

  • I bought it bcuz of IJ's review

  • Just got it for my trip to Costa Rica and have been testing it at home with no issues so far. I will say that the UI could maybe use a polish but overall I think this is going to be a huge help on our trip. Thanks much! *btw that grass needs a good cutting in the video heh

  • Don't trust the german translation lol

  • I like this product. I have sent in my corrections and noticed that the recognition improved. Since the promotion price was right, I puchased all the languages and will be trying them all. So far, Japanese is doing well, although I am making an effort to pronounce slowly. It took some time, but I finally got the program to recognize: The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain. Fortunately, a bit of sweat equity goes a long way with this product.
