Bill Champlin Singing "Take It Uptown"
Taken from the film "Copper Mountain" (1983). Jim Carrey's first movie, but definately not one of his best. Actually it would range as #4 worst on IMDB's list of the 100 worst films ever - but it is 121 votes short of even getting on the scorecard. But Bill Champlin is awesome - as always!

This is when Bill Champlin's voice sounded the best, so natural and full of soul until Chicago 19. After that, his voice began to change. Plus, he should have performed this song with CHICAGO.

Great to see a live music performance from a movie. I never saw or heard of the film, but grateful to see Bill and a great band performing during the period. Go see the Sons of Champlin if they come to your town. Go see Bill Champlin if he comes to your town.
