The Glenlivet and Interview are proud to present interviews with men who are writing their own legacies and passing on something truly original in their fields. Rich Torrisi & Mario Carbone are the chefs/owners of Torrisi Italian Specialties in New York City's Little Italy. Torrisi Italian Specialties opened in late 2009 and received glowing reviews including two stars in The New York Times, and five stars from New York Magazine. Rich and Mario have individually worked in the world's top kitchens including Del Posto and Café Boulud. Their casual restaurant takes a new look at Italian American food with interpretations of classics such as Eggplant Parmesan using fine dining techniques. The menu is fixed—diners choose entrees only—and the door has a strict no-reservations policy.
This video was produced by Interview exclusively for The Glenlivet. Interview was founded by Andy Warhol in 1969. Today, interviewmagazine.com features intimate conversations between the biggest names in pop culture, from film, fashion, music and art.
Had a lovely meal here - but Rich was such an ass at A Voce. Definitely has the personality and strength to make it far in this industry

I had one of the best meals of my life at this place. It's unpretentious and utterly perfect. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. It's like going to their home and asking them to make you a little something for dinner. Go. Wait on the line and take whatever seating you can get. Just go.

Awesome interview/philosophy. Absurdly awkward edit.
