the good old spadra landfill, I dumped there many times inthe 80s and 90s when puente hills dump had a daily tonnage limit so you had run to spadra when it would close sometimes as early as 11 o clock in morning, puente hills took away the tonnage limit about 4 years ago and stay open all day

LOL those drivers must have had left leges the size of tree trunks with all the cluch'en and shifting they did with those old trucks! Automatics are nice for stop and go all day but thats back in the day when truckers earned there money! Awsome vid!

Then you probably know where this landfill is. It sits just south of Cal-Poly and though it is now closed, the sign is still at the road that reads SPADRA LANDFILL.

The City of Pomona later went to Shu-Pac's and used them through the early 90s until they went ASL...

Now this really brings back some cool memories from the 80s and 90s! This landfill (formerly known as the Pomona Landfill) is the Spadra Landfill that closed in April 2000. Our trashman took me there once so I could see his truck dump but soon I was riding my bike (until I turned 16 and got a car) there and would sit up the hill for hours sometimes and watch. I sure miss those days!
Sadly this is a very short clip, but what a sight to see: the wining combo of Leach Packmaster and White 3000 cabover. Sign menu reads " $1.00 per ton, 0.50 minimum"
