This project was done as part of a course requirement for freshman studying Mechanical

Engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The course helps mechanical

engineering students develop a working knowledge of the concepts of data acquisition,

control and mechatronics. It culminates with a project that must sense something in

its surroundings, process the information and then generate an output action in

response.
