@RichardMNixon just remember, the Bible is a work of fiction and much of the OT is not historically accurate. There was no 'exodus', that's been recently proven by Israeli archaeologists but the conquest of much of the world by Muslims was very real. Regardless, both religions cannot claim the mantel of 'religion of peace' with even one war under their belt.

@unserviam agreed but don't forget Islam is based on Christianity (despite what many Muslims would argue) and both religions consider blasphemy to be a religious offence (it's one of the 10 commandments). The difference is Christianity succumbed to the rise of Secularism while Islam is still less than halfway there. It will be a great day when all countries are secular.

@toulouse666 You may say that islam has to evolve and adapt to a system of separation between church and state, but this is not possible in islam. Islam is demanding that other peoples adhere to islamic laws, and enforcing those commands with violence and threats of violence against countries who do not comply.

It is legal to burn an American Flag in the USA, and or a Bible, but no longer legal to burn a Koran because Islam will not tolerate it. They threaten and Obama & General Petraeus obey.

@Shamuck22 There are some percentage of muhammadans who are not violent, but the rest according to Polls, are in favour of violent terrorist style attacks against innocent non-combatants (Daycare centres, shopping malls, buses, passenger aircraft, churches etc) in some circumstances.

Christianity used to be violent hundreds of years ago, but they have evolved, and modernized into a civilized group nowadays. islam is still an unevolved backward warmongering bunch of uncivilized barbarians.

@ballance80 Well if the Religion 'IS THE LAW' then it is a religious issue. Blasphemy is a religious offence in the religiopolitical entity of islam. It is a crime against some supposed god or some supposed prophet of some proposed god or another, or what I like to call a victimless crime. If it weren't for the overbearing religious influence then the crime would not be a crime and the lad would not be in trouble, so yes it is because islam is a weak religious lie, which cannot face criticism.

No, Mohammad's conquests were fairly benign compared to the shit that went on in the Old Testament, and the Muslim world was far ahead of the Christian world pre-Renaissance. After that though everything went to shit. I thought Morocco was one of the more decent examples too; it's starting to look like there aren't any.
