Nuclear hormone receptors are composed of ligand-binding and DNA-binding domains as seen in the movie Nuclear Hormone Receptor: RXR and PPAR Bound to DNA. The DNA binding-domain comprised of Cys2-Cys2 zinc coordinating modules and the sequence specificity is conferred by P box and D box sequences. This movie enumerates 81 P box sequences mostly found in the genome of the nematode, Caenorhabditis elegans (ref. Sluder et al. Genome Res v9 p103).
