Very good video - very thorough review, this helped me a lot. Found one for $24.99 on tigerdirect with a $45 off coupon code SFO11470 - good enough for mom-in-law :)

hi, i hav 2 questions:) 1.id use the c600 occasionally for "surveillance", recording car traffic in front of our house, in daylight. i understand that its fixed focus is optimized for close objects. how bad would it blur out farther objects? like 20-30 metres, in daylight(!!). is this only a faint effect, or it is well noticable, like having a lower quality, plastic lens webcam? 2. are there resolution steps between 640x480 and 1280x720? thx for advice :)

@kbuss10
I've taken photos and videos of the street outside of my apartment through the window and I didn't really notice any blurring, just compression artifacts. The older drivers for the cam could do 800 x 600 but newer revisions of the drivers no longer have it. So as of right now with the latest drivers there aren't any resolutions between 640 x 480 and 1280 x 720.

@ColonelAngus75 thx:) i googled it also, and it can be taken apart farly easily, and the focus is adjustable in the housing. it has a traditional focus ring. the c500, c270-310 also. u lose warranty of course. obviously logitech locked the focus to promote their auto focus cams... and how many fps for 800x600 in the old driver? any guess?

@kbuss10
I believe it would do 30 fps at 800x600. I used to be able to get 30 fps at 1280x720 with the old drivers if I manually adjusted the exposure, but now it's locked at 15 fps at that resolution regardless of what I do with the exposure.

Hello! Can you show more lowlight video with logitech c600? For example, window view at night? Thank you! Want to check this camera's sensitivity! Please set maximal settings (-; Thank you!

I had planned on doing a follow up video because new drivers have been released since I did this video and some things have changed. I just haven't had time to do it, but I will soon I hope.
