Rick Crowell, PT guides the manual clinician through instruction of a Mulligan Home Exercise, in this case a posterior glide shoulder MWM (mobilization with movement) utilizing fingertips. MWMs were originated by physiotherapist Brian Mulligan. Visit bmulligan.com for more information on MWMs and the Mulligan Concept of manual therapy. This clip is one of many released on RxDVD by iTherapies. Enjoy, and may your patients get better, faster.

  • Isnt this a little bit contraidictory? This is essentially a posterior sublaxition is it not, and therefore this may stretch the GH capsule and pose an increased risk of dislocation.. ??

  • No, it is not. The joint is always maintained within a normal, painfree range of motion. The joint is never subluxed or dislocated. For more information, please view the 'Principles' and 'Introduction' of self treatment videos available from YouTube and, if interested in Mulligan Concept research material, go to bmulliganDOTcom. • @TheEpicFailMan I just don't feel like getting through that again!

Pain unbearable... I reached a point I was crying at night cause I felt "that's it, my life is over!" and even when the pain was gone every single day I feared "what if it'll returns?" My friends tease me cuz I'm the one that always have a problem.. whiplash, broken hand, knee pain neck pain even testicular pain!! I'm really frustrated.. I don't know what to do to completely heal it...

  • I'm 17. I was diagnosed with chronic tendinitis 4 days ago. My right shoulder hurts, A LOT since I was 15. The pain was so intense I didn't use my right arm for 4-5 months. After the pain subsided I started playing basketball again. I could feel the pain but I always stretched and warmed up before I did anything so after 3 months I started activities again pain was completely gone. I started muay thai, helped a lot. I was inactive for 4 months, I started exercising again and my shoulder hurts...
