The Welsh Marches line to Shrewsbury played host to two railtours on Saturday 26th November. 6024 King Edward Ist ran from Bristol to Shrewsbury and 60163 Tornado ran from London to the same destination.

Unfortunately microphone trouble and the almost gale force conditions filmed in meant only three shots were in any usable condition. First we see 60163 hurtling through Abergavenny, Follwed by shots at Hereford Station with a platform level shot of 6024, clearly in need of some TLC at the front end, and a behind crowds shot of 60163. Was also less impressed by the almost continual din from the safety valves, but it at least covered the noise from the dreadful generator coach!

  • Phil, great shots, think I was next to you when the King arrived at Hereford, the pillock in the hi vis jacket ruined your shot running in too. Andy

  • Great fooyage Phil, especially the night shots at Hereford.....Bob

  • Nice one and you caught a couple of slips from Tornado pulling away.

  • Very nice, shame about the prob. with the mikes.

While I was watching this an e-mail came in advising that PhillipGriffin1234 had uploaded a video!

Good to see another vid from you.
