Why we need the FRAC Act

Myron Arnowitt, State Director of Clean Water Action Pennsylvania, talks about the latest moves to amenda laws around natural gas drilling in Pennsylvania. He makes a powerful case that the Federal Government needs to step in and set standards for natural gas drilling. Congress needs to pass the Fracturing Responsibility and Awarness of Chemicals Act, a.k.a. The FRAC Act.

@ecohopeblog Thanks a lot! Glad it's working for you. The latest news is it looks like the Obama administration might put out some good guidance on frack sites that use diesel fuel. If you're doing enviro papers in law school, you should look into the exemption to the exemption in the Safe Drinking Water Act: i.e., the act applies to FRAC sites that use diesel fuel. EPA just hasn't been enforcing it.
