I still think I am hopeless in finding new friends. I just moved to a new city and I know no one here. I tried to make new friends but they just kept excluding me for group events. I am not the most talkative and enthusiatic conversationalist so I think that has been hindering me. But I can't help it! I am just on the more quiet side!

Being shy can be difficult, especially when moving to a new place and trying to make friends. Give yourself time, keep at it, and remember - its not quantity, its quality. If you are able to find one or two people who you feel you connect with, thats fantastic! Just remain positive and keep putting yourself out there, you'll meet people! Just be you and you can't lose!

I think this is great however I'm wondering are any of you ladies mothers? The reason I ask is because I'm a young mom (I'm using my hubby's youtube thus the weird name) and I have questions about friendship and making new friends for young mothers. You know, I'm a mom so I can't be out and about a lot but I'm a girl too so I don't feel like I apply to those mid-age mom stereotype questions. Is there anything you recommend?

i have mainly guy friends and im a girl.... but i had tow BEST friends(girls) n they both lied n talked behind my back and im over the b.s in my life!

all of my friends are guys, i've always had more male friends than female friends. it's not impossible, just because someone is of the opposite sex doesn't mean that's their only intention in wanting to hang out with you. if that were the case then the group of about 10-15 guy friends would all have the wrong idea and also possibly be in the closet since they all call me "little brother." haha.

I just moved to a new country and it's so difficult for me to make friends. I'm so shy and can't seem to talk to new people, the only reason I had friends in high school was because I had to see those people everyday. Then going to college I left all of them behind. Alone in a new country sucks.

For me, really friends are important. But honestly if your more on the quiet side, you dont HAVE to make friends. I'm the same way and I am just fine without too many friends. So don't get down on yourself, you are not alone.
