Sure it's your opinion, but it is a pretty short-sighted opinion. Yes, there's a very light parallel between the two movies we are discerning here, but writing Pariah off as 'another precious' sounds ignorant to me, and I'm ignoring the fact that you're making the comparison a bad thing. It's about a black woman coming to terms with her sexuality in a religious household in Brooklyn. Pretty sure that road has not been tread too often.

Definitely not another 'Precious'. 1 Seems way more legit than that. 2 different plot... so wtf are you talking about?

Ah, of course the NY Times would call this 'splendid'. Nothing warms the hearts a Jews everywhere than to see the American family destroyed. And they love even more to encourage black self destruction. Keep thinking these people are intending to 'liberate' or 'free' you by praising and pushing social pathology.

I been right where she's at and this movie just reminded me of that and the struggles that people face and its not easy to have the courage to be yourself when everyone expects the side of you that isn't real the side you use to cover the real you.Comparing movies is just ridiculous just take is for what it is a raw story of what it takes to love who you want and not GIVE A DAMN WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT IT----One love people

How can you compare Pariah to Boys Don't Cry? A movie about a white poor FTM nomad and a movie about a black middle class gender non-conforming potentially FTM High school student are two very narratives...

If one were to compare it to anything, it'd be Boys Don't Cry. That being said, I understand. It seems impossible to come up with anything truly original anymore. Still looks like a good one though.

Well,...the destruction of the family unit is always tragic. But everyone in that movie was literally sad so thats what I mean.
