City Council - Rear Loader

This is the new answer to the growing rubbish problem in our city. Two trucks like this have been purchased by our city council to help out the much larger "Paddle" rear loaders (previously featured). These trucks also do other runs and pick-ups for businesses such as food scraps which are taken to the recycling plant. When paying our rates we pay for this service where the city council provides "official" rubbish bags which are put out each week.

Mad video Chris, nice to see another RL in NZ. Do you know of many councils that provide this type of manual service... I haven't seen anything like this without bins in ages! Guess it's a very speedy service, but would suck if the bags broke =] Fast loader too, not a time waster. Thanks for getting the packing shots too... faving this video and you got yourself 5 stars!

Although it takes two guys per rear loader thats still one of the most efficient methods of collection. I really wish my route was more like that, where people only had a few bags of trash per stop, I would blast through that in my MSL.
