Not bad for a big car even with the smog gadgets. Could anyone order one with a manual transmission?

the US also has lower octane than euro, the highest avaiable @ pump in us is lower than the lowest here.
besides in those old day US had a 130m/h limit on cars.

My 90 300ce can do that and has half the displacement. lol ;)

thats actually more like a half second, but who's counting?

It's the S for Stuttgart.

Of course it has a German plate!!!
I can't see the first letter. That one represents the city of registration. Whether it is F for Frankfurt or S for Stuttgart.

the black one is a euro 6.9,the other is USA version, the black one has more hp than USA one, as you can see, the black one almost 1 second faster than the other one because USA versions are equipped with power-robbing anti-pollution devices(smog pump,flat-topped pistons, reduced compression ratio,etc..)

Yes, Euro models have higher compression motors, less emissions equipment (if any). It's a shame the U.S. models were dumbed-down with all that EGR crap, not to mention the ugly battering ram style bumpers. Euro bumpers hold true to the line of the car.
