I don't really check my account on youtube much so unaware of all the requests, sorry about that. As to how I made this, its basically a frequency to voltage converter wired up to bunch of LEDs. I don't quite remember as this was 5yrs ago lol. I wired up the input to the RPM signal on the OBDII connector which is frequency modulated(I think the voltage range is +2.5 to -2.5V and changes in frequency in relation to RPM) the circuit converts increasing frequency to increasing voltage

I then inserted some LEDs into the tach. This was the hardest part since you have to build little "compartments" for each LED so the light doesn't bleed through. Easier way would be to guy a shiftlight(like the JCW one or similar), take it apart and then insert the LEDs into the tach. Unless you're competent with electronics and can build your own circuit. There's plenty of info online about frequency to voltage modulation circuits and how to build one. Hope this helps.

JCW shiftlights doesn't insert into the tach. It sits on your dash. I modeled this after the e46 M3 SMG tach.
