  • I would buy one of these cars immediately except for one thing: I live in an apartment and I don't have an easy place to plug the car in. And if I did get access to a garage (like some of the units in my complex have) there is only a 120 volt plug available, not a 240.

  • @seewaage Sounds like a lot of people have to wait until the infrastructure is set in place to allow for plug-ins in places like apartments, condos etc.

  • The "range extender" is just a generator.

  • @Charles2337 Thanks for your comments. Are you a fan of electric cars, or do you think they still need more development?

  • @getconnectedtvshow

I'm a fan but I don't think the problem is electric cars; it's battery technology. That's the only thing that is holding electric cars back. Until they make batteries that recharge very quickly (5 minutes). Electric cars will be flying off car lots.

  • @Charles2337 Great point Charles, while there at it, hopefully they can improve the batteries in our cellphones as well.

  • Ultimately, e-vehicles will obtain electricity as they drive down the road via inductive transfer. It can be done efficiently when the circuits resonate (yes, I realize the explanation is beyond the scope of a comment). In a system like this, battery range is a moot point.

Regarding the other comments, the main obstacle to E-V acceptance isn't range or charge time, it's initial cost.

  • Charging Stations Utilizes 880 Volt Advanced Charging Units which charges your car in 5 minutes.

  • @getconnectedtvshow

    Haha I agree.
