  • Chinese dances are way better than Ballet, i think

  • in the beginning her arms through finger tips form the baby bamboo, representing the growth of bamboo - which, btw, is a very hopeful fortune in China. later you can see her fingers mimicking the movement of bamboo leaves wavering in the wind... so on and so forth. Crisp movements between smooth turns, along with dramatic curvatures, are some of the signature moves of the Dai ethnic group dance.

  • @tululah10 Isn't that a Japanese tale, Princess Kaguya?

  • beautiful, intricate movements.

  • There is a beautiful fairy tale where a Chinese baby princess is born in bamboo and is found by a bamboo cutter. She lives with the old man and women and escapes many suitors whom she sets trials for and is eventually rescued or home by the moon warriors who return to her after their place is saved.

  • the beat is kinda off

  • i used to dance both ballet and chinese dance, but later i didn't have time to do both (i have chinese, piano, go, and etc. as well) and i gave up ballet

  • Very graceful thank you !

  • great!!!!!!!!!

  • So captivating... I was in Xishuangbanna a couple of years ago and want to go back. Such a beautiful, languid place. I remember talking to a Dai woman at a market who sang a song that expressed how she loved her beautiful homeland. These dances are so expressive of that culture and land. I hope the Dai people never lose their identity.

  • Could you tell me how to make a copy of Green Fairy?
