Charted at #3 on Billboard Hot 100 in September 1974, and #1 on Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. After Bobby was dropped from his record label Epic, he vowed that he would come up with a big hit to show that they were wrong in letting him go. He did so on his first try, and made a big comeback.
Original Billboard review: "First effort on ABC for veteran, always popular song stylist. Probably the most commerical thing he's come up with in a long while, moving from tempo to tempo with catchy lyrics. Could easily cross to pop".
B-side is "I'll Be Loving You".
The single was on ABC / Dunhill Records ABC-12022)

I had a huge crush on this girl named Leslie in 1974. This was her favorite song. She was mad as hell when her Mom told me she sang this in the shower, lol! Thanks for a special memory!
