BGSU Student Green Initiative Fund: Smart Strips

Our proposal to the Department of Environment and Sustainability at Bowling Green State University for the Student Green Initiative Fund. We propose that Smart Strips be installed in the Education Building. Since Smart strips are self-sustaining and pay for themselves in a fourth of year, the money saved could be used to purchase smart strips for other buildings on campus. It was featured and given away as a gift on the Oprah Winfrey show as a Green product. The product has been used at big and well known universities such as Cornell University, University of Florida, and University of Michigan to name a few.
