There can still be snow in May. After then, untill August, no snow threat really. September can be dangerous and can get you stranded for good.

omg u were walking at that height ,hope it was not so windy ,this sep 24 i was like going to die at tanlang la ,so windy and the wind was super cold ..

We were in the same situation as you on Oct. 8th, 2008. We also walked up the last 2 kms in the thin air. Going down the other side, the car in front of us lost traction because they braked and almost fell off the cliff. It was one of the most frightening days of my life so far!
