This is a light-duty plow that I made for my '05 Equinox.

It is made of 3 steel shovels from TSC and miscellaneous brackets and bolts I had in the garage. The mount is a 48" wide x 24" deep cargo carrier (also home made) that attaches to the vehicle via a 2" receiver I had welded to the frame. The plow pivots up and down on bolts that hold it to the carrier. It is raised and lowered with a small electric winch from Canadian Tire.

I set it at a 15 degree angle to push the snow off to the passenger side. I figure this will be good for light snowfall, no deeper than 5 or 6 inches.

I modified the wiring on the winch controller so it can be "quick-connected' to the bolted-on leads without requiring tools.

The whole thing weighs about 100 lbs. It's easy to put on and take off - held in place with a 5/8" pin through the receiver.
