the chest clip needs to be at armpit level and the shoulder strap need to be at or above shoulders and you need to use the top tether and the seat belt when the child weighs over 40 pounds use the seatbelt through the lock offs of the back of the marathons and allways secure with the top tether do not move more than one inch at the belt path

Thats awesome that you bought your kids such good car seats, but make sure your using them correctly. The straps should be at or above their shoulders and tight enough that you cant pinch the fabric. Raise the chest clip to arm pit height and make sure your seat is installed tightly. It should not move more than an inch in either direction even if you pull on it.
