How To Reset The Change Oil Light on a 1999 GMC Sierra / Chevy Silverado

Quick video to show how to get rid of the change oil light on my sierra. I had it changed at a shop and they forgot to reset it. This trick works for 99-2006 models of GM / Chevy trucks and SUV's, not sure about newer models.

Here is the Technique
Do these steps in 5 seconds:
1. Turn the ignition to the ON position
2. Press the accelerator 3 times fully
3. turn key off

now you can turn the ignition back on and that should clear the light. If it doesn't try it again as sometimes it takes a few tries to get the timing right.
