Demo of the Granger H50 amp. The H50 is a 2xKT66 3xECC83S Hiwatt type tube amp based on the DR504 circuit. Most of the parts are from Weber, with several parts and component substitutions (see GrangerAmp.com/blog for more info and photos). Guitar is stock Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus. Output of amp to Weber MASS100 attenuator set about half way. Cab is a 4x12 8 ohm load.

  • Nice chops man! If I bought the weber kit for this amp, would it sound fairly similar or almost as good as this? Also, for the life of me, I can't remember the Zep song at 0:44 if anybody can help me out.

  • Thanks! Yes it most likely would as long as you build it correctly, and use good sounding tubes. (JJs in this one). The Zep song is "Bring It On Home."

  • hi curt, i think i may have found the guy to build my next amp. just to give you a tone im looking for- J.Page 1973 tour song remains the same.i know that due to his playin` style, volume and eq settings this can be very subjective but i think you have come extremely close to what i love-raw,edgy,creamy,not to brittle tone.I love it!!!
