The offending party has since closed his account, but not before slinging mud at me on another video in a childish attempt to inflame me into a bad response. It's sad that there are people out there who seek nothing but to cause trouble in that way.

Regardless of all that, Big Red and his racing record stand alone in my books; there will never be another to match him.

@kwgrid Bill Nack's is phenomenal and truly fitting for Secretariat. The imagery he gives is wonderful and puts you right there in the paddock with Big Red, it's a must buy and a must read.

@kwgrid I have "Secretariat's Meadow" and also Raymond G. Woolfe's book, "Secretariat." Plus I've googled and read tons of articles online and utube interviews. I haven't read Bill Nack's book so I don't know how good it is. Of the two books I have, Raymond Woolfe's is the best. Lots and lots of great pics and little details. :)

The standard of Greatness is in the number of years their accomplishment remains. Let's just remember 1:59 2/5 and 2:24 and know that no horse before of since has broken 2:00 at Churchill Downs (Accept Sham) and no horse has ever run Belmont faster that 2:26. Secretariat did it in 2:24. the distance that two seconds at that speed is something like 13-15 lengths. Secretariat lives in the presence of the God's.

Secretariat was the best horse that I have ever seen, I have the book of his life and every time I read it I cry one cause I'm happy and when it comes to the end the way he died. When Penny had to say goodbye for the last time to the super horse makes me break into tears cause of how hard it had to be, people say that he was just a race horse no He was Secretariat. This was the greatest race horse America has ever known. His records have not been and in my opinion never will be matched at any of the triple crown tracks. Big Red you were a magnificent animal and one of the greatest "athletes ever". I just wish I could have seen you before you passed on.
