@goslar21 I heartily concur!! This was easily one of THE BEST films of 2008, yet got completely snubbed---indeed, f*cked-over---by the AADA, the stupid, echo-chamber, self-congratulatory **bastards**!! This film is GREAT: Screenplay, acting, direction, cast, crew, and *score*. Brandon Walters should've at least been nominated for Best Supporting Actor, as he did a phenomenal job (his first time out!!!). Such a beautiful boy.  And Jackman was pitch-perfect as Drover. F*ck AADA on this one!

This SOOOOOOOOO should have been nominated for an oscar. seriously. I think Milk or Defiance would be easily booted out of the competition to make for this. This movie got SOOOO snubbed. it should have won for costumes AND art direction (instead they wasted a nomination on the dark knight), and a few other technical nominations would have been nice. (also, would have LOVED to see brandon walters get a nomination in supp actor) DOWN WITH THE ACADEMY!!!! :P
