Volcano Matte painting

It is a Multiplane Matte painting technique, created "strictly" using Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects
I made this "test" Matte painting to try out the "Mesh warp" effect in AE "which I used to animate the smoke", and also to challenge myself by creating a "stylized" look, not just another 100% Photorealistic shot that could be achieved by just using Photographic materials.. I hope you guys like it...
PS: Been inspired by the Volcano shot from the "Lord of the Rings" created by the master Matte painter "Dylan cole".. You guys should check his awesome work out, in case you haven't yet..
