Coming home, maybe, but the Dublin connection seems to be Heffernans assumption/wishful thinking. I reckon so anyway. I stand by my original assertion,esp given the Covent Garden reference in the spoken intro. Nice debating with you though.

I did that. If youn do a saerxh on Google books you'll get a preview of Alan Byrne's book, with interviews with Heffernan and others on the making of the video. Very onteresting. Also says that the song is about a guy coming home to the old town of (ahem) Dublin.
