Timothy Galarnyk, the host of the History Channel's Inspector America show, traveled to Pittsburgh on May 26th to warn of the safety and economic costs of neglecting infrastructure. Mr. Galarnyk urged Congress to refocus on priorities like repairing bridges, locks, dams and roads. The event was hosted by the Associated General Contractors of America and its Pittsburgh chapter, the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania

  • Civil Engineers have been warning about this impending calamity for a long time. But, maintenance and replacing old structures is not as sexy as building something new. Politicians love to attend ribbon cuttings for new stuff, but don't get any voter mileage out of spending what is needed to repair existing. Our country is beginning to crumble and no one is listening. I'm so glad that History Channel created a program to highlight this problem. But, how many people watched?

  • Did the History Channel cancel that show?? I've been searching for it on the programming guide but no luck. It wouldn't surprise me if History channel took the cowards way out.
