US UNCUT TEACH IN BOSTON

On March 12th 2011, the Boston chapter of US Uncut staged a teach-in as a part of the larger national day of action. In protest of recent budget cuts to education and other social services, the protestors sat in a branch of Bank of America while local professors lectured on taxation in corporate America. US Uncut is a national movement that has risen in cities across the United States to fight against corporate tax dodging. The movement stems from the UK Uncut movement that experienced great success across the pond targeting corporations like Barclays and Vodafone. As budget cuts to public programs increase, US Uncut believes this lost tax revenue is more important than ever, because it can save thousands of jobs in the public sector. Their message is clear, "make corporations pay their taxes so we, the tax-paying Americans, don't have to."

Wonderful video. Thank you! This is a message that needs to get out. Not complaining, just a constructive suggestion, it would be nice if the music were at about 25% of its current level, or maybe omitted entirely. The teacher's voice kind of gets lost in the mix at points.
