Batman Arkham Asylum Review

After a long wait the Dark Knight finally receives the game that he should have had to begin with. Combining Stealth Gameplay mechanics and quick fluid battle combat make controlling batman a breeze and quite engaging. Any fan of Batman wether it be the movies, the show, or the comics should all take notice and at the very minimum give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

very much so, has some of the most trippy art you'll see as well. theres really no action its just more of a mindfuck really for batman. Joker tells him he just has to stay there for the night more or less and see things for himself. the killing joke is also a must read without a doubt.

yeah i thought the crock part was a little anoying with no climax i realy wanted to fight him, i mean he was the most intimadating charictor in the game. i want to buy the killing joke, and arkham asylum

if they wouldve given the option whenever he caught up with you to start beating the hell out of each other and broke up the running segments i wouldve been happier but oh well. Killing joke is one of the best graphic novels i ever read and a must for anyone who like batman or the joker. the long halloween is also a good read. the whole background was my batman graphic novels lol i wanted to have an appropriate setting i guess :P

you know what pisses me off? whenever i show this game to one of my friends the go like: ah fuck that. who wants to play batman. batman is for little kids. and as soon as i star playing, they watch and say: this game is kinda fun. and still they wont admit that it's a great game just because it's batman.

@ddvs2012 arkham city I have fun with, its so fun it feels short. and you know how the old saying goes, time flies when you're having fun. I hate how they've cut out bane from batman&robin and pasted him on here, I was hoping for a smart crime lord bane. he should overshadowed joker, even in AA the final boss is pumped with venom so that just tells me the writers caved in for joker. switch joker up with bane and give him the knowledge hugo had and it all somewhat resembles knightfall doesn't it?

@EclipseHedgehog yup. Its all hype, but i could see how a batman aficionado would be smitten with it. To me its just kind of generic looking, the enemies are all the same, but hey compared to every other batman game its the tits. Same with arkham city, i rented it and kinda had to force myself to play it.. Plus how hard is it to make batman look cool? Just spend a million dollars and make him look good for fucks sake

arkham asylum's WAY too overrated, it's linear, boss's suck, the graphics haven't and aren't aging well, no it is NOT the greatest comic book game ever, people are just saying that because its batman. no thats not a good point, batman's had some shitty games too and I'm not saying this is one of them, there were a few parts in the game I liked but at the end of the day, I just see it as a fan service.

Batman: AA is a great game and like i said in my review on GIO(which i dont go there no more) its batman at his finest and joker doing his worst(in a good way). My only complaint is its replayablity. After finding 100% riddles the game is fucking boring, i love it but after everything its just not fun anymore.
