Gibson Les Paul Standard Test

Just having a little fun with a Les Paul - This is a Honeyburst Gibson brand Les Paul Standard model solidbody electric guitar test. Honeyburst LP, 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a dark Honeyburst finish, with a flamed maple top cap. It almost looks a little like "Ice Tea" finish without all the red and a little like the Slash Appetite for Destruction without all the grain patterning and this is darker near the binding. The top cap is Maple AA grade. The back section is Mahogany, as is the neck. The Gibson Les Paul Standard was weight-relieved, by drilling several holes in the body, (so it is not completely like a floating boat anchor) but is an non-chambered version. This guitar weighs 9.8 pounds, so it is not light, but many Les Paul Standard models are well over 10 pounds. On the other hand many vintage guitars are actually quite light in weight. The "Standard" version lasted like this until 2006 when the model was "Chambered" starting in 2007. Nickel bridge here, not the newer Tone Pros brand locking bridge, or the Grover Locking Tuners, as the 2008 version has. The pickups here are two nickel finish "Burstbucker Pro" model Humbuckers. Cream colored pick-guard is slightly different than a new pick-guard, as it was made by a different supplier. The screw hole was slightly back further nearest the pickup ring and the color slightly darker, as well. The guitar also featured a creme-colored plastic jack plate, switch ring surround and pickup rings. Thoubbs on the guitar test. The tube amp is a Blackface Fender Vibrolux Reverb.
