Today, the House passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Paycheck Fairness Act - bills that will ensure equal pay for women in the workplace. These are the first bills to be considered under a rule in the 111th Congress because ensuring equal pay for women in the workplace is a top priority of the new Congress. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, who spoke on the House floor, introduced the Paycheck Fairness Act more than 10 years ago.

This whole issue is a smokescreen for more government meddling in private affairs.
Men work in higher risk jobs like construction which will add to their overall higher pay.
Moreover, men don't take off time for maternity leave, nor do they leave the workforce for years to raise children thereby interrupting their careers.
If women are working for 70 cents on the dolar like the old lie says, every single fortune 500 company would slash their payroll overnight by hiring them!

if more women did consturction jobs, minning jobs, and more dangerous jobs then i can understand them talking about the wage gap. Men are way more liely to do high riask jobs and to be more reliable since they are not the oens to have children so thats why men get paid more than women. There are difrences in the sexes we are not the same period! Women get over it!

I mean we all know Mr. Sulu came out of the closet a while ago. But not you, too!
