  • Hello again, after splitting about 20m³ of oak the hydraulic cylinder leaks a bit of oil at the top. It then goes all the way down at the side of the cylinder and leaks on to the ground. Is that normal? It's only few drops/hour tough ......

  • @BelgianEvo Hi, I think that's not normal. My cylinder is dry.

  • I hae bought the PH8000 and it looks descent. I haven't tested it yet, but if i look at your video, i think it's a bit dangerous to stand so close to the machine/wood with your face. What if a piece of wood would shoot away from the machine and hit your face?? Or does that not happen?

  • @BelgianEvo that's never happened. you have to stand so close to the machine to use the two levers

  • Its a great tool, i do have PH8000 and did 70m3 in 5 days hard acacia which would take me more than 10 days to do it with axe, and it worked even on a bulky stuff where 2 of us have to lift the log off the floor as it was above 100kg and each of us on the side pressed the lever to initiate the pump switch,, and my body finally doesn't ache as before ;) !!!

  • @rrooeessee : Damn, that's crap ..... I do have 11 months warranty left, but it's always such a mess with transporting the thing and waiting for repairs etc ....

  • @rrooeessee : Yes i know that you have to stand that close because of the levers, but the people that make those machines could design them different that you can operate it different and don't have to stand that close with your head. I also have the ph8000 now. Look at my videos, it's in there :)

  • @BelgianEvo need only 25cm - 30cm block, I saw it then with a circular saw. You can do it in another video of me. And so the work is faster.

  • @rrooeessee : My stove only fit 35cm .... isn't it better to cut the logs into 35cm and then split them?

  • @BelgianEvo a splitcross I have, it works fine. The best length is 80cm for the blocks.
