A ferry ride from The Presidio in San Francisco takes us to Treasure Island for the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939. The Pan-Am China Clipper, NC-14716, is seen in a rare moment out of both the air and water.
Transferred from VHS copy of lost 16mm film. Donated by Edith Walter.

  • I do believe the opening scene shows the eastern side of Angel Island where the immigration buildings are located and not The Presidio
