I find the easiest way to remember is a rugby pitch (football example won't work for obvious reasons) if the cars on your immediant right is stopped, scan the queue beside that to see if they are moving or if a car is passing both those lines, more than likely thats your chance to get across to the other side, one car blocks one lane at a time
@ryandude1992 It's quite clear really... give way to your right. So traffic on your right will be blocked by traffic on their right, which gives you an oportunity to move when they're being blocked.
The real problem with this is that the roundabout is so small you don't only look to your right. If you turn left and a car opposite you has to break when following you; you automatically fail the test.
the part where he explains the left and right is just far to confusing.."even though u have to wait for traffic on the right but traffic on ur right has to give way to traffic on their right" im sorry but this is just not explained to clearly at all
Do not be tempted to cut across a floor painted roundabout. If you have an accident it will be your fault. Not only loosing your no claims bonus but also points and a fine for driving without due care and attention.
omg!!! that is such a good tip...to go to a rounabout and watch the traffic, guess what they might do and learn that way...or play a game with yourself asking yourself what 'would you do if you were in a particular car at the roundabout..omg..i find that so helpfull... : )
yes it did happen once, where all three were looking to their right.i then saw the car on my right waiting for the car on his right and that car waiting for me...i took off first
