Super Mario Advance 4 e-reader custom level (SMA4 e-level hack) Classic World 2-1

Last summer I made a basic level creator for the e-levels in Super Mario Advance 4. It was very buggy and barely functional. I have started working on a new version with a new interface, which I hope to release to the public. This level was made using the old version I had kicking around to help refresh my mind on which things were broken.

It's a remake of Super Mario Bros. 2-1, just like the other star levels were remakes. It's all faithful to the original. I had to take some liberties with the springboard at the end. I'm not really happy with how it works right now but it won't get anyone stuck.

If progress goes well on the program over the summer, I will release more videos (along with the actual level files) as I work on the new version.

You're right. Between real world stuff and modding my wii, I haven't done as much work on this project as I had hoped. Today is the first day I'm looking at the code in a month or two, so I don't think it will be in a state to release this summer, but I'm currently looking at what the minimum I need to finish is to get some sort of program that can be released.

Will the editor allow one to make their own item set? Example: 5 Mushrooms and 2 Fire flowers, the unreleased e-switches, etc.

@Gannio No, at this point I don't have plans to allow for item card creation. I believe there is already a program out there that can do it.

Yes. Although it'll be embarrassing as a programmer, I will be releasing the source code as well.

@14159 I have modded my wii and i know how to mod it, at least if you do it with a game ( like the SSBB exploit ) so you need to tell me only what your firmware is and if you do it with a modchip or with software.
