After this film was made, some of the Bungie employees were messing around with the props. Apparently, one was carrying a sniper rifle around and someone called the police on him. The bystander called it an AK-47. That mistake alone is hilarious.

@noelgomesmaster Tons of reasons. Money problems. Script problems. Plot problems. Director problems. And I don't think they could get a distributor that would accept a 10-year wait for the film. The rumours were for a release in 2012 or so, but that's not going to happen. Plus people kept quitting and such. It's all on the Halopedia site.

@Afterburner8004 They recently had a contest where, if you won, could go to Weta NZ where this was filmed and take a ride in that Warthog :p I didn't win :(

the master chief essentially "jumped" out of the forerunner ship (the one he gets on at the end of halo 2) and the ODST's need to "paint" an infrared laser on him, so that the marines can georeference his estimated impact zone, and retrieve him. This retrieval happens at the beginning of halo 3. Before the first mission, Sierra-117 (master chief's call sign BTW)
