Christians of Palestine
Movie clip from award-winning documentary film 'Occupation 101.' For more info or to purchase the DVD please visit: www.occupation101.com.

A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions.
The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets.
The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy.

  • All they have to do is convince enough people that the Christian Lebanese population is supporting Israel or conceivably supporting Western values. The most likely is that Hezbollah will try to create the perception of Western influence and agencies acting within the Christian population of Lebanon. This is what Hezbollah and Hamas are doing when they are making accusations against the March 14 movement. Hezbollah has used this tactic successfully in the past.

  • @CelticVictory The conflict was largely for secular reasons and the Phalangists are best known for raping and killing a bunch of civilians in two refugee camps (Sabra and Shatila) under Israeli control, which led to some ridiculous denials from Israel and then a fight between its officers over the blame, which ended in a car bombing.

  • @CelticVictory Hezbollah's official statement is that it doesn't proselytize to Sunnis or Christians. In Lebanon religion runs in the family, and it's not going to change one bit without coercion from foreign powers.

You still haven't shown how Hezbollah could perceive Christians as "Zionist collaborators" when the majority in its own country hate Zionism.

  • @invictus14 However, Palestinians had also killed Christians who were not Phalangists.

  • @invictus14 If I am not mistaken, the phalangists fought in Lebanon. This video is about Christians in Palestine. That being said, although Hizbollah has officially allied with the secularist Christian Free Patriotic Movement, I doubt Hizbollah has any interest in varying from their typically staunch islamicist position. I personally think they're being pragmatic politically. As for the Phalangists, they did kill Muslims and Christians who were deemed as "collaborationists".

  • @CelticVictory Hezbollah is aligned with the Christian Free Patriotic Movement. Those "Christians" they opposed were Phalangist soldiers who massacred Muslims and other Christians on a political or ethnic basis.

  • @CelticVictory yes because at the end of the day they're all PALESTINIANS you should see how Arabs of all faiths are united to destroy their dictators. Yes there'll be some fanatics but let's face it the Palestinians just want freedom no matter what faith they from. And if Palestine wins a democracy there will be peace. A Palestinian is a Palestinian no matter what your faith is. I'm Muslim but that doesn't mean I'm not English

  • @AnahSkywalker It's true that Israel is a jewish state. However, Palestine was an Islamic province. Do you really believe that Palestinian Muslims will be so tolerant of a Christian presence if they should be victorious?

  • @CelticVictory In the eyes of Israel a Palestinian is a Palestinian even if you' believe that Jesus is the son of God. If an Israeli soldier saw a Palestinian fighting for his rights it's not like he'll stop just because the guys a Chrisitan! So whose protecting the Palestinian Christians now? Come to think about it whose protecting the Palestinians on a whole? Gandhi said to the Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus in India why fight each other when we're all being oppressed same in Palestine.

  • @DutchMasterJohan who lived in Palestine.
