With the onset of autumn and nearing the end of my trip to Virginia, I focused back on the trout fishing. I visited some of the places I had looked at earlier on in the season and also looked to find some new places. Highlights of this trip included exploring the further reaches of the River Jackson (Hidden Valley) and hiking into some of the wild Brook trout fishing in Shenandoah National Park. I have had the opportunity to fish with the fly fishing author Steve Moore a few times, and for my last trip we headed out to fish the Rose River (SNP). I'll miss my fishing in Virginia and will definitely be back!

  • Hi fella, I'm back in the UK now, it was hard enough to find where I went to- random Brit driving into the wilderness! I was working in the Virginia last year and had some amazing fishing experiences. Excuse the bright vest -I wore that was in case hunters shot at me!

Please go to Hidden Valley, it won't disappoint. I love and and miss the rivers of Virginia. Cheers, Patrick
