That's an awful shame. I found mine in some garage in suburbia. She came complete and with a title for 400, only because they were moving-- I'm seriously sorry to hear about that. I'll tell you what, though, there's plenty of CB's, both single and twin cam, going around. Keep an eye out, and I'm sure one will find its way to you!

@jackmcgackles the only thing its missing is the speedometer, and the keys
-
@jackmcgackles well, I found out the bike was a tow in about 5 years ago. The guy went to jail and the bike went to the junkyard. I found someone that is going to buy it, but since he cant get a title, he is going to strip the bike down to the frame, and just get all the parts off it.
-
@vwbusssesareforever If it isn't too late, i will share one bit of advice from my mentor: NEVER BUY A BASKET CASE. Always buy a complete bike, even if it's wrecked, because you have all the parts. The parts can be broken, yes, BUT: It's all there.

I know where one is just like that sitting in a junkyard in decent shape. looks like that one! I know it doesnt have a title and he wants $200 for it. been sitting for years

HEY'' IF you like 80's models this a good bike to own,i have 1 my self
-
i have the same bike has 26k miles on it it starts right up as long as i hold the choke an let it warm up for a couple of minutes AFTER THAT IT AWSOME I HAVE SAME KNOCKING NOOISE JUST GOT THE CARBS CLEANED BUT I HAVENT TUNED IT RLY
-
I also have an 81 cb750c that makes that knocking noise! I was told by my local dealer that noise will get much better when the carbs are tuned properly. I know mine are dirty, I just got the bike for $200.00 but I think it could win an award for longest lack of maintenance! I just don't get how you can own and ride a motorcycle but not properly maintain it. Your life depends on it for fucks sake!

got the same bike 80000 km runs great, been across Canada & Usa no breakdowns flats just keeps going !
-
@GGundamBlue there should be idle screws by the carbs.
I'm not sure how to explain the idle but I know it's very simple. I would recommend this bike - had it out a couple weeks ago - started right up, ran awesome. Can't wait for warmer weather in a couple days!
