UCLA computer science professor Judea Pearl was honored March 12, 2010 at an all-day workshop celebrating his influential contributions in artificial intelligence and related sciences.
At the event, Pearl was presented with a Festschrift entitled "Heuristic, Probability and Causality: A Tribute to Judea Pearl" (http://bayes.cs.ucla.edu/TRIBUTE/pearl-tribute2010.htm). Nearly 20 contributors to the book delivered lectures at the symposium. This video records the lecture by Professor James Robins who spoke about "Ontological Pramacy of Causation vs Manipulation vs The case of the Pure Direct effect" (co-authored with Thomas Richardson).
